Questions
School Advisory Committee
Many thanks to those who were in attendance this week for the School Advisory Council (SAC) meeting. The meeting minutes of this meeting are available here on our website.
The School Advisory Committee (SAC) is made up of parents, teachers, and community stakeholders who provide input to advise leadership on opportunities to enhance the learning environment here at Hohenfels Elementary School. Serving on a SAC or IAC is a rewarding responsibility that offers the opportunity to contribute to children's education actively. These committees provide advisory input on school policies, administrative procedures, and educational resources. At the same time, final decisions rest with the DoDEA school district superintendent.

Read Across America
This week our Tiger Cubs hosted several guest readers to help celebrate the love of reading and Read Across America week.
From middle and high school honor society members to our amazing MFLC to command leadership, our Cubs were keenly engaged with the guest readers who shared some of their favorite stories. The enthusiasm of the readers showed our students how fun and beneficial reading can be.
While Read Across America week is celebrated one week of the year, HES continues to celebrate a love and enjoyment of literacy and reading all year long. Check out the photo gallery below to see pictures of our Cub and guest readers in action.
Read Across America Week
During the week of March 2-6, Hohenfels Elementary School will observe Read Across America Week. We are looking forward to a celebration for the love of reading! Throughout the week, several guest readers will come share some of their favorites, spirit day celebrations will bring a lively "sparkle" to the week, and we will cap it all off with a fun Friday of pajamas and cozy reading with snacks from our top tier PTA.
DoDEA Stakeholder Feedback Survey
This is a friendly reminder that the DoDEA Stakeholder Feedback Survey (SFS) is currently open and we encourage you to take a few moments to share your feedback. The survey will remain available through March 13, 2026.
The final week of the Stakeholder Feedback Survey is underway.
This is the last opportunity for parents and students to share feedback that helps guide improvements across DoDEA schools worldwide. Please check your DSIS email to participate before March 13.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support.
Do you enjoy working with children and making a positive impact each day? Hohenfels Elementary School is looking for kind, energetic Elementary School Aides to support our students and teachers.
